Lialphezneflau - Description

Name : Lialphezneflau (Lial for short)
Species: Ammiiae (see "Species Information" tab)
Age: 2,000+
Height: 4'2"
Physical Description:
Lialphezneflau wears various, colored garments, themed towards a jester. Many bells adorn his outfit, and a ribbon ties 3 large bells to the end of his tail. Around his neck is a large, colorful scarf, which work as his arms. He rarely changes out of these clothes.
Without a hat, his hair is purple and fluffy. He does not bother to take care of his hair like this, so it often appears very messy if exposed.
His eyes always have a tired look to them, and his pupils are bright yellow.
His teeth are similar to that of a human's, but with unusually sharp canines.
He has long, pointy ears, and earrings. One is a moon, and one is a star.
Lial's skin is a light, powdery blue. It feels no different than to a human.
Lial's tail is twice as long as his body, measuring around 8ft (~2.4m). It is striped with red and white bands, and it has a faint, minty scent to it, as well as an intense peppermint-y flavour, if tasted.
Personality:
Lialphezneflau is an entertainer, but does not have an overly exciting atmosphere to him. He is very quiet, calm, and observant, as well as quite strict. He will not hesitate to correct someone's bad behavior, though if he does not manage to get through to them, he will promptly give up and allow the individual to face whatever natural consequences they may bring upon themselves.
Lial is obedient to those he works for, and he feels it is his purpose to serve them. He finds little enjoyment doing things for himself, and will only do something if directed to, since he feels much more comfortable having a course of action laid out for him. He is quite content with this life, and wouldn't dream of anything else.
Once close to someone, Lial is a bit sassy and condescending. He allows himself to become less professional, cracking personal jokes and making fun of whoever he is with. He can also be very parental, and will give unwarranted advice or make unnecessary comments if he feels it is needed, in typical parent fashion.
Despite his generally sarcastic and dull tone, he is very friendly and caring.

Lialphezneflau - Lore

Lialphezneflau is an old entity that has been roaming the Earth for hundreds of years. He comes from a species, named Ammiiae (see more with the "Species Information" tab), which has a lifespan of what seems to be infinite. Most of his life he spent serving a royal family, watching each generation go by as they were birthed, and grew, and inevitably met death. He was a court jester, as well as a trusted advisor, servant and close friend to all in the family. Lial felt it was his life's purpose to serve this family and watch them grow.Lial only truly bonded to one family member, though. He was one of the many Kings that had ruled the kingdom during Lial's time alive, and he was special in one way: he was completely passive, and had no desire to rule the land for benefit. He regularly interacted with citizens, often dressing in peasant clothes and partaking in low-class activities. The King was seen more of a father to everyone rather than royalty, and it was unheard of to hate him. Everyone was happy, content with life, and somehow, the kingdom functioned on the King's joyful demeanor. It was like this for years, and he and Lial were best friends during this time. The King also had a son, Tobias, who Lial was often tasked with watching over. Tobias had a friend, Aurvoscios, a young warlock. The two of them managed to cause an incredible amount of trouble around the palace, and so Lial was constantly busy making sure the two didn't end up getting themselves killed, as Tobias was quite fond of using dangerous magic he had no familiarity with. He was an incredibly curious boy, and he was also stubborn and rash. This would prove to be an issue as time went on, and Tobias pressured Aurvoscios to push more and more to find something "fun" to try out, up until Tobias got them both injured with his impatience. Lial felt it best to have the two seperated for some time, and he went on as normal, thinking nothing of it.Tobias simply could not let it be. He began to mess with things he should not have messed with, and soon found himself with a new friend- an entity that called himself Tenebris, and Tenebris offered to give Tobias access to whatever knowledge in the world he wanted. Tobias accepted, listening to whatever instructions Tenebris gave him: isolate yourself from your family, focus all your attention on me, do not eat unless it is food I give you, destroy your beloved belongings until nothing remains but us. Tobias never questioned a thing, following along blindly out of pure curiosity and excitement.
This curiosity turned into belief, and that belief made Tobias dependent, and that dependent made him manipulatable. Manipulatable enough to where Tobias was convinced Tenebris was his closest friend, and that together, they would discover every secret and mystery and treasure the world has to offer, even those past mortal comprehension.
Tobias had let himself fall completely into the control of this Tenebris, and soon Lial watched as this control was used to tear the kingdom to pieces. It started with Aurvoscios, who Toby sacrificed after being convinced it would bring them both to godhood. This sacrifice was all that Tenebris needed to take full control of Tobias, and he immediately began to destruction of the kingdom. For what, you may ask?
Personal enjoyment.
Tenebris thought the place ought to have something coming to it, after managing to live so peacefully, and therefore lazily, for so long.
The kingdom soon saw itself up in flames, being burnt alive. Lial was determined to go down with it. He fully accepted that his entire life had been one of serving the kingdom for hundreds of years, and he fully accepted that it would be the only life he ever knew. Not only that, but he blamed himself for Tobias' descent into madness. Maybe if he had gone about the situation a little better, or paid closer attention to him, nothing would've gotten this far- nothing would've happened at all. So he sat by the King's side, his best friend, and embraced for a torturous death.
The two of them didn't quite see eye-to-eye, though. The King simply disagreed with Lial's conclusion.
So, the King requested one final job of Lial: to take the slim chance of escape, and never come back. He insisted upon it, an irrefutable demand, and bid Lial a quick farewell.
That would be the last Lial ever saw of that land again, and he would be the only one to leave it.
In the most current times, a few hundred years later, Lial searches for someone to serve again. He is a shell of what he used to be, only keeping himself alive for the promise he made to his friend. To stay alive. So he does that, barely surviving at most, cycling through small jobs to keep himself afloat. He is the only one who even remembers the kingdom as fact now, and so lonlier every day gets.Lial lives in a year very similar to 2010 and wanders like a bum.

Species Information

AmmiiaeAmmiiae are an ancient species still around in the modern era of my (nameless) fictional world.
Ammiiae themselves do not have arms, and instead rely on a scarf-like species to provide them with arms. The two species form a mutual relationship and heavily rely on each other for survival.
Ammiiae, in general, are a very passive species. They live to serve, and are often found working for humans, mainly royalty. They're meant to be seen as companions, but over time the species began to be treated like personal pets or objects rather than sentient, living beings. They're often taken advantage of, and seen as animals and not intelligent individuals.
Not only that, but their tails are unique, in that they are edible. Ammiiae all have unique tasting tails, replicating something sweet, like licorice, apples, honey, or peppermint. They're said to have incredible flavour if "harvested" and prepared properly. Because of this, people began to poach the species, and taking them for their tails, which had become a delicacy in many areas. Their uniquely patterned scarves were also taken as, and sold to the rich as decoration.
The mistreatment of the species sent many individuals into hiding, and so virtually no Ammiiae exist out in the open anymore. Even in modern times, poachers and traffickers still exist, and will kidnap any Ammiiae individuals on sight.
Ammiiae also have unique features, that are very important to define them:
⭐ Body: Ammiiae are tiny, usually no more than 5 feet tall. They appear skinny and weak, but can be incredibly strong. Amiiae do not have arms.
⭐ Skin: Their skin can be any color, but is usually something unnatural (like blues, purples, oranges).
⭐ Hair: This isn't a special trait, some have hair and some do not.
⭐ Eyes: Their eyes may be any color. Ammiiae only have 2 eyes.
⭐ Ears: Usually pointed and long, but can occasionally be more droopy and rounded.
⭐ Teeth: Ammiiae teeth resemble human teeth with unusually sharp canines.
⭐ Tail: Their tails can have nearly any pattern on it, with any colors. The flavor of an Ammiiae's tail typically correlates with its colors. Their tails are at minimum two times their body length, but can go up to three times the length. Tails start thick at the base, but gradually thin out into a pointed end. There is not a known reason why Ammiiae have such long tails, but they are extremely versatile and functional.
⭐ Clothing: An Amiiae can wear whatever they want, but they're usually "assigned a theme" at birth, and will forever stick to that theme. This is typically determined by what colors and patterns an Ammiiae is born with, and what job their parents already have.
⭐ Scarf: This is a defining feature of an Ammiiae, but the scarves themselves are actually a seperate, somewhat sentient species that live on an Ammiiae's body, and function as arms. A scarf's sentience varies, and can range anywhere from having a jellyfish-like amount of sentience, all the way to acting as a fully functional, intelligent entity. Occasionally, a scarf will form with eyes, and these are typically the most intelligent.
Once an Ammiiae and scarf "fuse", their consciousnesses are combined and they work together as one being. A scarf can still make its own movements if it chooses (more likely with an intelligent one), and will often have its own personality, seperate from the Ammiiae. They can also be taken off after this, but there is typically no reason for it.
Scarves also share colors with an Amiiae's "theme"; they will always somehow match.
⭐ Theme: An Amiiae will always have a theme that their body, clothes and scarf go by. They will be born with certain colors, naturally be drawn to certain styles, and their scarf will always naturally match their theme. For example, Lialphezneflau has colors and patterns very fitting for a circus. Many Amiiae are also drawn to professions that match their theme, but over time, as things have modernized, they've began to branch out.
⭐ Age: they do not seem to physically age, and they do not die from age (at least, it has not truly been documented).
⭐ Human relationship: At the beginning of things, they actually had a very special relationship with humans and many would often find themselves attached to one as a sort of familiar or guide. They were welcomed by royal families and those with high power and status. Usually this relationship is beneficial. Unfortunately, they've been nearly hunted out to extinction for their tails, as well as their natural willingness to cooperate.
⭐ Romantic Human Relationships: Occasionally, this happens. Any Amiiae who falls in love with a human is considered disgusting and worthless. Hummiiae (the result of an Amiiae and human having children) are outcasts and often killed very early in their life; they do not live long at all. It is more acceptable for an Amiiae to be mixed with some other mythical breed. They're also hunted for their tails, which instead taste of expensive meat. Hummiiae may also be born with arms, and are not guaranteed to bond with a scarf. Many never get scarves their entire life.
_________________________________ScarvesThe scarves that Ammiiae wear are their own species. They are also not even made out of fabric and thread, but woven out of their own blood vessels, nerves, and muscle fibers! Not much is known about these scarves, or where they even come from, as they seem to just pop up when an Ammiiae needs one. It is seemed to believe, though, that this is the history of how these scarves first came to be:
💫 Long ago, before the Gods, when just Titans ruled the universe, and Ammiiae had nothing. This was early into the universe's creation, and there was one particular trouble-maker causing issues for the Titans, and this trouble-maker went by the name of Tenebris. Tenebris was the embodiment of Pride, the sin itself, and the Titans were his biggest fixation. It was a fixation of hate, for Tenebris wanted what they had: power. He started with the Titan of Space- Anakiake- slaughtering him for the rest to see. Anakiake, coincidentally, had been extremely fond of Ammiiae and Hummiiae alike. He had befriended a Hummiiae, and felt pity for what both species had gone through. Tenebris hated Anakiake for this, as he saw Ammiiae and Hummiiae as beings that only existed to be tortured and hunted. They were weak, and practically useless, if not for work and their tails. Slaughtering Anakiake first was one of Tenebris' messages to the species.
The next Titan he went after was Harvest. She was an exceptionally beautiful Titan, and the Ammiiae were fond of her. She was slaughtered next.
Tenebris tore into her body until she was no longer recognizable. She was shredded to bits, and those bits scattered down across the Earth to rain on its miserable inhabitants.
Even though Harvest's body had been destroyed far beyond repair, the flesh that fell to Earth attempted to heal and reform itself. All those clumps managed were ugly, knotted lumps of flesh, that sat writhing and fusing with the Earth. They did nothing.
At least, until an Ammiiae came along.
Immediately upon interacting with an Ammiiae, Harvest's flesh began to form, weaving itself into an ugly, but recognizable form of a scarf, and eventually, the first scarves were formed.
Made from their fallen Titan, the Ammiiae were graciously provided with their arms. They were honored by Harvest's horrific sacrifice, and in thanks to her love, Ammiiae began to worship her as their single, and only God.
It is known that Tenebris is pissed to this day, as Harvest remains the only person to ever have the last laugh against him. Every day he must live to see an Ammiiae wearing the scarf of Harvest's flesh, and he fumes. 💫
That is what many Ammiiae believe, anyways. They live long enough for events like these to not just seem as myth, but history. Many shorter-lived species brush this story off as myth, especially since poaching has greatly dwindled the number of Ammiiae and scarves that would be left to testify for Harvest. Since so little of both species are left, it is rare to hear of an Ammiiae finding its own scarf, and so many think it doesn't happen at all, and never has.
